Shipping

The Amerisleep Platform Bed comes with free shipping within the continental US. We ship our platform beds direct to your doorstep via FedEx. And in most cases, they arrive in 10 business days.

Please note: All our products ship separately, so if you’ve ordered a mattress, pillow, sheets, or any other sleep accessories to go with your Amerisleep Platform Bed, they may arrive sooner or later than your mattress foundation. But don’t worry, shipping is always free.

1-Year Warranty

We provide a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty with our Amerisleep Platform Bed. This warranty covers manufacturer defects or any faults in the upholstery cover.

Compatibility
    • Memory Foam Mattresses
    • Hybrid Mattresses
    • Latex Mattresses
    • Innerspring Mattresses

Pairs with any mattress type

Our Amerisleep Platform Bed pairs well with our Amerisleep Mattresses, but it can even work with any mattress type. Whether you have a foam, hybrid, or innerspring mattress, our Amerisleep Platform Bed fits the bill.

The hardwood slat system

Too many bed frames develop “soft spots” over time that cause your mattress to sag. This leads to discomfort and faster mattress deterioration. That won’t happen with the Amerisleep Platform Bed Frame. Instead of using a bunch of thin slats, we equip our platform bed with thick hardwood slats spaced to provide even support. We reinforce our slats with center supports to keep you and your mattress sufficiently supported no matter how much you toss, turn, or move about the bed.

Assembles in 5 minutes (or less)

You don’t have to be handy to put our platform bed together. Anyone can do it! The side rails of our foundation slide together in seconds, and the center support and slats only take a few minutes to put in place.

Frequently asked questions

Is a foundation necessary? Or can I use an Amerisleep mattress with a platform bed?

You do not need a foundation with your mattress, as many mattresses can be placed directly on the floor, but we do recommend them. Placing your mattress directly on the floor can lead to dirt and moisture build-up, resulting in premature wear and tear. Plus, it makes it hard for air to escape, which can lead to night sweats and overheating.

While box springs were once popular, they’re now a less desirable option, as they’re not compatible with foam beds. Foam beds need a solid or slatted foundation to rest on, so they work best with more modern mattress foundations or even bed frames like platform beds. Hybrid mattresses are also best supported by solid or slatted foundations, whereas innerspring mattresses can work with box springs or modern mattress foundations.

What is the difference between a mattress foundation and box spring?

Box springs provide bouncy, sturdy support for your mattress through a combination of coils and wood slats. Mattress foundations are either slatted or solid and do not contain coils, so they provide more even support than box springs.

Box springs are best suited for innerspring mattresses, whereas all other mattress types are best supported by more modern mattress foundations.

Can I put a mattress directly on slats?

You can put a mattress directly on a slatted foundation or bed base, but you’ll want to make sure the foundation or base is from Amerisleep or that the slats are close enough together to provide even support. As a general rule of thumb, slats in a non-Amerisleep slatted foundation should be no more than 2.75 inches apart.

If your bed base and slats aren’t designed by Amerisleep and are spaced further apart, we recommend two solutions: 1) buy additional slats to fill the gaps or 2) buy a bunkie board to place across the slats, creating a solid, flat surface. You can also opt to buy moisture-resistant ply-wood instead of a bunkie board.

Do you need a headboard for mattress foundation?

You do not need a headboard with a mattress foundation as many of them are stand-alone mattress accessories. Our Amerisleep Platform Bed is not compatible with a headboard and does not fit in your existing bed frame, either.

Does the Platform Bed Frame have a weight limit?

We recommend placing no more than 750 pounds on our Platform Bed Frame.

Do Amerisleep Mattress Foundations come with a sleep trial?

Mattress accessories, such as sheets, pillows, and foundations, do not qualify for the 100-night trial and are non-returnable.

Can the platform bed fit in my current bed frame?

No. Our Platform Bed Frame is an all-in-one mattress support system and bed frame. It’s larger than a box spring or foundation and does not fit within other frames. Additionally, the foundation’s legs are part of the frame and cannot be removed.
