Yes, you can use a plywood plank with an Amerisleep mattress. Placing a plywood plank under your mattress creates a smooth, supportive surface, allowing you to use a traditional bed frame or a box spring for added height.

Just make sure the piece of plywood is at least 0.75 inches thick and is covered with a moisture-resistant coating. Otherwise, moisture might build up and promote mold growth.

Can you wash memory foam pillows from the Amerisleep Crosby mattress store?

You should not wash our Comfort Classic and Dual Comfort pillows because doing so may damage their foam fill. However, you can wash our Flex Pillow. To clean the foam core, simply run it through the washing machine on a cold and gentle cycle, then tumble dry it on low heat.

You can freshen up our Comfort Classic and Dual Comfort pillows by sprinkling baking soda over the surface and leaving it alone to soak up odors. You can also place the pillows outside for a few hours in a sunny spot, letting UV rays kill bacteria and microscopic pests.

The most important consideration is to make sure you choose a firmness that matches your sleeping style. The right firmness for you relieves pressure and supports your spine in a neutral position. Every sleeping position requires a different mix of cushion and support:

Side sleepers need a mattress for pressure relief in the shoulders and hips. They should try our AS5, AS4, and AS3 models.
Back sleepers need a surface to conform to their back’s curves and maintain the spine’s neutral position. We recommend our AS3, AS2, and AS1 mattresses.
Stomach sleepers need a mattress for abdominal support. Our AS1 and AS2 mattresses are a good fit.

What kind of bed frame do you need for a hybrid mattress?

You can place a hybrid mattress on a solid or slatted bed frame. If you choose a slatted foundation, make sure all of the slats are no more than 3 inches apart to ensure proper support. When the slats are too far apart, the hybrid mattress can sink between the slats and lose its shape.

You can also pair a hybrid mattress with an adjustable base. Hybrid mattresses flex well with an adjustable bed’s panels, remaining bouncy and supportive in different positions.

Can you flip hybrid mattresses?

No, you should not flip a hybrid mattress because of its construction. Unlike an innerspring mattress, a hybrid mattress does not have a comfort layer on its top and bottom. The top layer is conforming comfort foam, while the bottom layer is a thin layer of stiff foam over the hybrid’s coil base. Most people will not sleep well if they try to rest on a hybrid’s foam base.
