Twin

Twin XL

Dimensions 38 inches by 80 inches
A twin XL size mattress is 5 inches longer than a standard twin, and the added length can help people over 6 feet tall sleep comfortably. Many parents choose a twin XL over a regular twin mattress to accommodate a child’s final growth spurt in their teen years. People who often host guests may want to consider an inexpensive twin XL mattress since the size is suitable for most people without taking up a lot of space.

However, we can’t recommend this size for couples as two people will barely be able to shift without crashing into each other.

What is the best memory foam hybrid mattress at the Amerisleep Pearland mattress store?

Each of our hybrid mattresses is well-suited for a particular sleep style, so none of them are truly better than the others.

The AS3 Hybrid is well-suited for side sleepers, back sleepers, and combination sleepers with its medium feel. The AS5 Hybrid’s plush softness is excellent for side sleepers and petite individuals.

Can you sleep on a new mattress from the Amerisleep Pearland mattress store straight away?

Yes, you can sleep on your mattress after it's unboxed and regained enough of its full shape to lie upon, which usually takes only a few minutes. However, our mattresses usually take a few hours to reach full expansion, and the bed will not be 100 percent comfortable until it’s finished. To get the best sleep you can, try to set up your mattress at least 8 hours before you plan on going to bed.

What is covered under a mattress warranty from the Amerisleep Pearland mattress store?

Our 20-year warranty offers a free replacement during the first 10 years if the mattress develops a structural or manufacturing defect from flawed artistry. Defects covered include loose seams, cracks in the foam, and sagging that exceeds 0.75 inches in the mattress’s sleeping area. We will replace a defective mattress for 50 percent of the bed’s original cost during the second half of the warranty period.

Our warranty starts the day you buy your mattress and extends only to the original purchaser. If you gift or sell the mattress, then the second party accepts it as it is.

How often should you replace your mattress?

Most mattresses need replacing within 6 to 10 years, depending on the material quality and how well you care for the mattress. The feel of your mattress can typically let you know if it’s time to buy a new mattress.

If your bed feels lumpy or there are spots where you sink too far into the mattress, then it can no longer offer the support and comfort needed for a good night’s rest. Similarly, if you wake up stiff and sore more often than not, it’s probably time to consider a new mattress.

Do you need a box spring with a memory foam mattress?

No, you should not use a box spring with a memory foam mattress as it will prove incredibly unsupportive. The coils inside a box spring are placed to line up with a traditional innerspring mattress’s coils and are not close enough to create a uniform surface. A memory foam mattress tends to sink into the spaces between the box spring’s coils, stretching the mattress out of shape.

The same principle applies to hybrid and other foam mattresses and is why we do not sell box springs.
