If I buy a mattress at the Pecan Grove mattress showroom, can I take it home the same day?

If we have the mattress in stock it will be ready for you to take home, as we do try to keep inventory of our more popular mattresses. If you have a specific mattress model you’re wanting to purchase same-day, we suggest calling ahead to see if we have the model available. However, even if we have to order the mattress to ship to your home, shipping is always fast and free.

Dimensions: 38 inches by 75 inches If you want a bed for a smaller room, a twin size mattress might be your best choice. A twin size bed is 38 inches by 74 inches, offering a compact sleeping surface suitable for adults and growing children. To save space, consider a lofted bed frame or a set of bunk beds.

Twin XL Size Mattresses

Dimensions 38 inches by 80 inches Are you over 6 feet tall and looking for a bed that squeezes into a small space? A twin XL size mattress should be just the right size, measuring 38 inches by 80 inches. College dorms often contain twin XL mattresses because they’re large enough to accommodate most single sleepers.

Full Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 54 inches by 75 inches A full size mattress is 54 inches wide and 75 inches long. It’s also called a “double bed.” Despite the name, a full or double mattress is only suitable for single sleepers.

Queen Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 60 inches by 80 inches A queen size mattress is the most common bed size. It’s big enough for most couples yet small enough to fit in a standard bedroom (10 feet by 10 feet). Single sleepers often enjoy the extra space it provides, allowing them to stretch and shift as they sleep.

King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 76 inches by 80 inches A king size mattress is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, accommodating most couples. There’s often enough space for parents to co-sleep with a young child, as well. We do not recommend king size mattresses for any bedroom less than 12 feet by 12 feet.

California King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 72 inches by 84 inches A California king size mattress is an excellent choice if you’re a tall person planning on sharing with a partner or vice versa. The bed measures 72 inches by 84 inches, making it longer and narrower than a standard king. Aside from the dimensions, a California king mattress is quite similar to a standard king.

Split King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: 38 inches by 80 inches Do you and your partner disagree on firmness preferences? Maybe you want a soft bed, while they want a firm mattress. A split king mattress can make shopping easier. Each half measures 38 inches by 80 inches, equaling a twin size mattress. If you place a split king mattress on a split king adjustable base, each side can be raised independently.

Do I need a box spring?

No, an Amerisleep mattress doesn’t require a box spring to feel comfortable or supportive.

If you have a box spring you wish to use for added height, we recommend placing a 0.75-inch-thick piece of moisture-resistant plywood on top of it to create a solid, flat surface for your mattress; plywood provides your mattress with the consistent support that a box spring cannot.

Is memory foam bad for your back?

No, a memory foam mattress should provide excellent back support and pressure relief as long as you’re sleeping on a mattress that’s soft or firm enough to suit your sleep style. If you wake up with a sore back, your mattress is likely too firm or too soft. Side sleepers need soft to medium mattresses, while back and stomach sleepers should try mattresses with a medium-firm to firm feel.

Are Amerisleep mattresses made in America?

We recommend USA-made mattresses because they are made in accordance with strict labor guidelines and rigid health and safety standards.
