"My husband was quite skeptical about buying a mattress unseen but I was impressed with the details and reviews so we decided to try it. The very first morning after our first night's sleep he said he liked it! My back took about a week to adjust but after that I liked it too. I like very much that it does not have an off-gassing of chemicals like most mattresses do. Plus it does not sleep hot like the other memory foams do. I'm very glad we bought it."

Tom Ferrantre

"I have purchased (2) AS3 mattresses. One is a Queen the other is a Twin size. We love these mattresses. They are comfortable and no more back aches in the morning. With so many choices for bed-in-a-box mattresses I picked Amerisleep because I liked the fact that they use environmentally friendly materials have a mattress cover that helps your body. I liked the first one so much that I purchased a second one. I recommend that you try it for yourself. And if you don't like it you can return it, but I doubt that you will because you will love it."

Laura Poole

"Best sleep of my life. These mattresses are a little more than the other bed in a box mattresses but it was so worth the extra money. The website helps you pick the mattress that is best for you based on how you sleep. It was spot on. I usually have trouble as a side sleeper because my hips and knees hurt from the pressure, but not with this bed. It is just firm enough but also soft enough for the mattress to hug your body a little. I love my mattress and recommend Amerisleep to everyone I know. Customer service over the phone was awesome too, the mattress came earlier than expected, right to my front door."

Anthony Rajchel

“Amerisleep has changed the way I sleep. I wake up refreshed every morning and can’t wait to get back into bed to sleep the next night away. Paired with my weighted blanket I sleep with unmatched comfort. My dog loves it too!! Thanks Amerisleep!!"

Lalo Gutierrez

"I bought the AS3 and it is wonderful. Keeps me cool at night and very comfortable. I get to sleep a lot better than ever. Great mattress!"

Mattress Sizes Available in University Park, Texas

Mattress size is an important consideration when choosing a new bed. If you buy something too small, you won’t have enough room to get comfortable. But if you buy something too big, it may make your bedroom feel cramped.

To make the shopping process easier, we break down each mattress size and who they’re recommended for below.

Twin

Dimensions: 38 inches wide and 74 inches long
Twin size mattresses are perfect for single adults looking for a small, budget mattress for a studio apartment. The size leaves room for plenty of other bedroom furniture. Parents often choose a twin mattress for a growing child, though some parents plan for a teenager’s growth spurt by investing in a longer twin XL mattress.

Twin XL

Dimensions 38 inches wide and 80 inches long
Taller sleepers seeking a small mattress might find their match in a twin XL size mattress. The bed size offers needed foot room, ensuring people over 6 feet don’t have to curl up to fit on their mattress. Because they suit more body types than a traditional twin bed, twin XL mattresses are common in college dormitories and guest rooms.

Full

Dimensions: 54 inches wide and 75 inches long
Full size mattresses are roughly the same length as a twin bed but offer 16 more inches of width. Sleepers can sprawl in almost any position on a full size mattress. Although the size is comfortable for solo sleepers, who do not recommend it for couples. Partners often feel cramped on a full size mattress, as if they’re about to roll over the side.

Queen

Dimensions: 60 inches wide and 80 inches long
Queen size mattresses are great for couples who want a bed to share that’s not too big or expensive. The size is affordable on most budgets and fits inside the average bedroom while still leaving room for other furniture. However, for some partners, a queen size bed doesn’t feature enough personal space. They might be better off with a king size bed.

King

Dimensions: 76 inches wide and 80 inches long
King size mattresses are the biggest mattress size offered by most companies. Partners who toss and turn can comfortably share a king bed, thanks to the large amount of personal space. Many parents choose a king size mattress to allow their child to co-sleep with them occasionally.

California King

Dimensions: 72 inches wide and 84 inches long
California king size mattresses are the bed of choice for taller sleepers, particularly couples where one or both partners are over 6 ½ feet tall. The bed is 4 inches narrower than a standard king, with the trade-off of being 4 inches longer. There is no need to worry about your feet hanging over the end of the mattress, growing cold in the night.

Split King Size Mattresses

Dimensions: Two mattresses, 38 inches wide and 80 inches long
Couples who disagree on how a mattress should feel might want to try a split king size mattress. Because the mattress is two separate halves, each side can have a different firmness yet be pushed together to form one mattress. Adjustable bed owners might also want to consider a split king mattress, even if they share their partner’s firmness preferences. An adjustable frame with a split king bed lets sleepers set up the bed at two separate angles if they wish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should you vacuum your mattress from the University Park Amerisleep mattress store?

It’s a good idea to vacuum your mattress regularly, about once a month. While sheets and a protector can protect your mattress from dust and debris, vacuuming minimizes the chances of allergens finding their way inside your mattress.

You can also freshen up your mattress with a sprinkling of baking soda. Just leave the baking soda alone for half an hour or more, then vacuum up the baking soda.

Can any mattress go on an adjustable base from the University Park Amerisleep mattress store?

You can pair any of our mattresses with one of our adjustable bed frames, but adjustable bases can’t work with every conceivable mattress type. Traditional innerspring and newer airbed mattresses are not meant to feel comfortable and supportive when parts of the mattress are raised.

The coils inside an innerspring mattress may bend and lose support, while the bladder inside an airbed mattress might become cut off if used on an adjustable frame. However, memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses contain the flexible materials and construction needed to move with an adjustable base.

What is good about memory foam mattresses from the University Park Amerisleep mattress store?

Memory foam mattresses have spiked in popularity due to their adaptability. The material hugs a person’s curves within seconds of lying down, relieving pressure and preventing morning aches and pains. Many sleepers enjoy the feel of being cradled by their mattresses.

What sets our memory foam mattresses apart from other models is the unique Bio-Pur® foam that tops every bed. Bio-Pur® is made with plant-based materials along with traditional petrochemicals, making the final product more eco-friendly than the average memory foam. Plus, Bio-Pur® is more breathable and responsive than traditional memory foam.

How do I know if my mattress is too firm?

One of the surest signs that your mattress is too firm is waking up with back pain or other soreness. Overly firm mattresses usually can’t relieve pressure points across the body instead of letting pain build up. A too-firm mattress may also lack the conformability needed to maintain a neutral spine alignment, increasing the chances of a sore and stiff back.

You might even feel discomfort before you drift off—if your arm falls asleep without you putting too much pressure on it, it likely means your mattress is too firm.

How long can a mattress stay rolled up?

We don’t recommend keeping your mattress rolled up for more than two weeks. Keeping your mattress boxed up for too long can affect its comfort and support when it’s finally unboxed. Plus, while your mattress remains rolled up in a box, the days of your sleep trial run out, leaving you with less time to determine if the mattress is right for you or not.
